Halloween Treats

I needed some crafting therapy this weekend after a very long week at school so I decided to put together some treat bags for my team teachers.  With this being Halloween and Red Ribbon week, the kids are  extra hyper.  We may need a couple bites of something sweet to help us "survive"!!!!!

I used the Stampin' Up! treat cups for the pumpkins and I filled them with the orange starburst candy corn.  I used the Cricut cartridge Create a Critter to cut out the pumpkins and a Tim Holtz embossing folder for the texture.

I used the Stampin' Up! thin cello bags along with the candy corn M&M's (which by the way are really good!)  For the candy corn image, I used an old Stampin' Up! set Tasty Sweet (retired).

I had so much left over candy corn and I decided that it wasn't a good idea to keep them in the house so I bagged them up in the Stampin' Up! small cello bags. *Not sure if they still sell these or not. I used an older set called Got Treats (retired) for the phrase and the candy image is also from the Tasty Sweet set.

And here they are all bagged up!!  I haven't made teacher gifts in a while and I really enjoyed putting these together.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  Happy crafting!

Caterpillar Card

As you may know, I'm a first grade teacher.  I love my job and my students are always very special to me.  This is my third year to teach and every year I send a card to my students in their final report card.  I don't tell them about it so I never know what they think of it.  I had a student come up to me about three weeks before school was out and tell me that they still had their card from last year and that they kept it in a special place and looked at it often.  That sure did make me feel good!!!!

Anyway, I do a different card every year for my students.  This year, I used the caterpillar from Create a Critter cricut cartridge.  I also used Locker Talk and hid some of the outer shaped from the first grade sign cut and welded it into a rectangle.  This was one less layer I had to cut by had b/c the cricut did it for me!!!  The letters are not make to cut out completely on this image so I took a silver sharpie marker and traced them in.

I used the Peachy Keen Stamps critter XL face stamps for the caterpillar.  I thank ran the caterpillar through my big shot with the Tim Holtz notebook embossing folder to give the caterpillar some "wrinkles."  I used SU! red dazzling diamonds glitter glue on the nose and orange stickles on the antennae.  I decided to glue on some google eyes to make it more fun for the kids.

If you have any questions, let me know!! Thanks for looking!!!

PKS Let's Face it Friday Challenge--Shape Card

The latest Let's Face it Friday Challenge over at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog is a shape card.  I have a friend who just bought her first house and I needed a card to go with her housewarming gift.  This challenge was perfect for it!

Since I didn't win the faces in the last challenge (LOL), I used  my Everyday Paper Dolls face assortment set for the face on the heart.  I then covered the heart and the tulips with glossy accents to add some texture.  I used liquid pearls for the door knob.  If you have any questions, please let me know!  Thanks for looking!

Supplies:
Paper: Stampin' Up!
Ink: Stampin' Up!, Tim Holtz distress ink (walnut stain)
Cartridges: Create a Critter
Stamps: Everyday Paper Dolls (PKS)

Caleb's Birthday Cards

For my friend's shower, she wanted one of her guests to write a birthday message for each year until he is 18.  I think this is a wonderful idea!  We will pass the cards out to the guests, they will write a personalized message to Caleb, and seal the envelope.  His mother will give him his cards each year on his birthday.

Since these are going to be "special" birthday cards, I wanted them to match so that Caleb would always know that these are his "special" birthday cards.  I used my Create a Critter cricut cartridge for the cupcake and the divine swirls cuttlebug embossing folder for the cupcake frosting.  I pulled ot my AWESOME copic marker and colored the numbers to match the card patterned paper.  All of the patterned paper is from Stampin' Up! Since I used my Gypsy, it was really easy to weld the candle numbers to the cupcake base and then cut everything out to match perfectly!!  Thanks for looking!  If you have any questions, please let me know!!!

Here are a couple of close ups!
